About Sudoku 12x12
Sudoku 12x12 is a variant of the classic Sudoku puzzle, but with a larger grid and additional numbers to place. The grid consists of a 12x12 matrix, which is further divided into 4x3 subgrids, also known as regions. Some cells within the grid are pre-filled with numbers, serving as clues to assist in solving the puzzle.
Basic Rules
- Grid Structure: The puzzle consists of a 12x12 grid, subdivided into 4x3 regions.
- Numbers Used: Numbers 1 through 12 are used to fill the grid.
- Pre-filled Numbers: Some cells are pre-filled to serve as clues.
- Objective: Fill in the empty cells with numbers ensuring no repetition in any row, column, or region.
Additional Rules
- Unique Numbers: Each number from 1 to 12 must appear exactly once in each row, column, and defined region.
- No Repetition: No number can be repeated in any single row, column, or region.
Basic Solving Tips
- Single Possibility: If a cell is the only one in its row, column, or region that can contain a particular number, then it must contain that number.
- Elimination: Exclude numbers from consideration for a particular cell based on the numbers already present in that cell’s row, column, and region.
- Double Pairs: If two cells in a row, column, or region can only be two numbers (a pair), then those two numbers can be excluded from consideration for other cells in that row, column, or region.
- Look for Grid Symmetry: Sometimes, the arrangement of given numbers may have a symmetrical pattern that can help in predicting the placement of other numbers.
- Work with Certainty: Start by filling in numbers you are certain about and then move to probable ones.
