"Little Killer Sudoku" is a variation of the classic Sudoku puzzle. In addition to the traditional Sudoku grid, it features numbered arrows around the grid. These arrows indicate the sum of the digits along the diagonal line in the direction of the arrow. Notably, digits can repeat along the diagonal line following the arrow, which introduces an additional layer of complexity and challenge to the puzzle.

Basic Rules

1. Grid: The puzzle consists of a 9x9 grid, divided into 9 smaller 3x3 grids.
2. Numbers: You need to fill every row, column, and 3x3 grid with numbers from 1 to 9.
3. No Repetition: Each number (1-9) must appear exactly once in each row, column, and 3x3 grid.

Additional Rules

1. Numbered Arrows: The sum of the digits along the diagonal line, starting from the square with the arrow and moving in the direction it points, should equal the number indicated on the arrow.
2. Digit Repetition: Unlike classic Sudoku, digits CAN repeat along the diagonal line indicated by the arrow, as long as the sum matches the indicated number.

Basic Solving Tips

• Start with Given Digits: Use the digits already provided in the grid to help determine the placement of other digits.
• Use the Sums: Focus on the numbered arrows and the sums they indicate to narrow down the possible digits that can be placed along the diagonals.
• Look for Constraints: Identify rows, columns, or 3x3 grids that are close to being filled and work on them, as they will have fewer possibilities.
• Use Elimination: Determine where a number cannot be and eliminate possibilities to find where it should be.
• Work on Diagonals: Pay special attention to the diagonals, using the allowed repetition of numbers to achieve the required sums.
